SKOL: Columnist cousin belongs with the greats A friend once described me as a few-thousand-words-a-week man, an appellation I have accepted as fairly accurate, though it’s often more and sometimes less, depending on the projects at hand. Knowing that difficulty makes me admire all the more the works of those who write essays about the rural life.
Young OHS dance squad set for state meet The Onalaska High School dance team placed first in the pom division and a close second in jazz at regionals last weekend in Eau Claire, qualifying both routines for the state competition at the La Crosse Center on Saturday.
Onalaska High School’s dance team came away from Saturday’s 2010 Wisconsin Association of Cheer/Pom Coaches state dance competition at the La Crosse Center with some hard-earned honors. The team won third place in Division 3 poms (pictured above) and fourth place in Division 2 jazz. In addition, OHS dancers won some individual honors. Madeline Anderson and Kylie Walz were both named to the 2010 WACPC Division 2 All-State Dance Team, and Nicole Bauer received an honorable mention. Check out this week’s Onalaska Holmen Courier-Life for more photos and check back here later this week for an online gallery of more photos from the state competition.
