Vivian E. Hanson
HOLMEN/ONALASKA — Vivian E. Hanson, 96, died in Odd Fellows Home in Green Bay on Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010. She was born June 29, 1917, in Buffalo, S.D., to the late Roy A. Hanson and Flossie Marie Buckley. One brother, Lowell R. Hanson of Daytona Beach, Fla., preceded her in death in 1996. Also, a dear second mother, Esther B. Hanson preceded her in death in 1975.
Vivian was a member of First United Church of Christ, Green Bay, and also a member of Green Bay Rebekah Lodge No. 185. She is survived by two nieces, Sharon McKelvey and Valerie Bourque; by a nephew, Roy Hanson; two great-nephews and one great-niece; many dear cousins and friends; and a special dear friend, Rosemary Rasumssen.
Vivian grew up in the Onalaska/Holmen area, living her adult life in Green Bay. She was a gentle, caring, Christian woman who treasured time spent with her Florida and La Crosse families.
Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Dickinson Family Funeral Home, 401 Main St., Onalaska. The Rev. Todd Peterson will officiate, and she will be buried next to her parents in Green Mound Cemetery, rural Holmen.
Memorials may given to First United Church of Christ in Green Bay.
