Lynford “Jack” V. Jackson
ONALASKA — Lynford “Jack” V. Jackson, 78, of Onalaska died on Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2010, at his home.
He was born on June 2, 1931, in Japton, Ark., to Hobart and Elsie (Rogers) Jackson. He served with the U.S. Army in Munich, Germany, during the Korean Conflict. He married Alice Reddeman on Sept. 13, 1952, in Madison. Lynford started La Crosse Wall in 1967 as a partnership and became sole owner in 1983. He retired in 1996. Lynford was a member of the Onalaska American Legion Post 336 and enjoyed several trips to Nevada.
He is survived by his wife, Alice; five children, Diana (Larry) Pierce of Holmen, Sheryl (David) Hagstrom of Annandale, Minn., Lyndon (fiancé Jeanne Vonskey) Jackson of Onalaska, Marlene (Wayne) Bentzen of Land ’O Lakes, Fla., and Eileen (Jeff) Ustby of Holmen; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, at Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of Onalaska, 907 Sand Lake Road. Pastor Jean Pagliaro will officiate. Private burial with military honors will be in at Green Mound Cemetery in Holmen. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and again on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.

HOLMEN — A celebration of life for Ricky “Ralph” L. Halverson, 58, of Holmen, who died Dec. 30, 2009, will be 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Holland Town Hall, W7937 Hwy. MH, Holmen.
