ONALASKA — Timothy M. Welchert, 51, of Onalaska died Thursday, Dec. 24, 2009, in his home. Funeral arrangements will be announced by SchumachernKish Funeral Home of Onalaska.
John E. Ottens
ONALASKA — John E. Ottens, Jr., 54, of Ona-laska died Saturday, Dec. 26, 2009, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center. He was born Aug. 20, 1955, in Sacramento, Calif., to John E. Sr. and Hazel L. (Hawker) Ottens. He married Cheryl McCluskey on June 22, 1996. John had a love for music, the Green Bay Packers, Elvis and classic cars. He was a renowned advocate for disability rights and a victim impact panel speaker. He spoke to the community about the consequences of drinking and driving. He had a great love for family, children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl; four daughters, Jennifer (Andrew) Paulick of Seymour, Wis., Angela (Aaron) Buck of Onalaska, Janelle (Robert) Ritter of Coon Valley, and Jamie (Terry) Mlsna of Cashton; eight grandchildren, Ryleigh, Reghan, Rhiannen, Autumn, Haleigh, Gracey, Zackry and Rory; two sisters, Julie (Lonnie) Runyan of La Crosse, and Jane (Phillip) Keene of West Chicago; and nieces and nephews, Jessica, Michael, John, Michelle, Taylor, Tristan and Tatum.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at SchumachernKish Funeral Home, 200 West Ave. S., La Crosse. The Rev. David Olson will officiate. Burial will be in Mormon Coulee Memorial Park. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of services Wednesday at the funeral home.
Beverly Ann Greenwell
ONALASKA — Beverly Ann Greenwell, 80, of Onalaska passed away Monday, Dec. 21, 2009, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, La Crosse, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Stoddard on Aug. 15, 1929, to William and Daisy (Hart) Hirschuber. She married John Robinson on July 18, 1946, and they later divorced. She then married James Greenwell on Aug. 26, 1995.
In addition to her husband, James, she is survived by her children, Linda Grams of Brownsville, Minn., Larry (Cheryl) Robinson of Holmen, Pamela (Dan) Marr of La Crosse, and John (Karrie) Robinson of Trempealeau; nine grandchildren, Heather (Daniel) Stevens of Central Square, N.Y., Shawn (Nicole) Robinson of Galesville, Aaron (Heidi) Grams of Brownsville, Nicolet (Gabe) Hull of Trempealeau, Caleb (Sarah) Grams of Brownsville, Josh (Kathy) Anderson of Sun Prairie, Wis., Sara Gallup of Trempealeau, Marissa (Nathan) Bailey of Houston, Minn., and Kristopher Robinson of Missouri; 16 great-grandchildren, Kayleigh, Nicolas, Benjamin and Matthew Stevens, Brandt and Melanie Robinson, Sophia Grams, Ava and William Grams, Chloe and Emma Hull, Kylee and Taylor Gallup, and Kylea, Luciana and Daphney Bailey; brothers, Leslie (Marion) Hirschuber of Brownsville, Danny (Sandy) Hirschuber of Rockford, Ill., Jim (Charlene) Hirschuber of West Salem and Ray Hirschuber of Rockford; sisters, Elsie (Jerry) Hirschuber of Brownsville and Carol Johnson of Cashton; and a sister-in-law, Margie Hirschuber of Stoddard.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Alma, Judy, Mary and Fern; and brothers, William and George.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 28, at Dickinson Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 401 Main St., Onalaska. Deacon Frank Abnet will officiate and burial will take place in St. Charles Church Cemetery, Genoa.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.

Diane M. Gamoke
HOLMEN — It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Diane M. Gamoke, wife, mom, grandma and greatgrandma.
Diane Gamoke, 66, of Holmen passed away on Saturday night, Dec. 19, 2009, as a result of an aggressive lymphoma. She was born on June 27, 1943, to Burton and Florence Knudtson.
Diane was passionate about being with family and friends. She loved eating out, bowling, decorating the home, country music, antique and junk store rummaging, hand-held games, word finds, taco pizza and beer. Diane will be remembered for how she cared for her family and loved them unconditionally.
She is survived by her loving husband, Roy; daughters, Sarah and Laura; grandchildren, Morgan, Taylor and Sonny; and a great-grandchild, Jakai. She is also survived by two sisters, Betty Dwyer and Ethel Greene; and four brothers, Wayne, Jerry, Roger and Leslie Knudtson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Beverly; and a brother, Kelvin.
Funeral services will be at 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 28, at Dickinson Family Funeral Home, 515 McHugh Road, Holmen. The Rev. Scott Skogen will officiate. Friends may call the funeral home on Monday from 2 p.m. until time of services.
