The Luther Light for December is senior Sam Wessel, son of Pastor Mark and Mary Wessel of Sparta. Sam attended St. John’s Lutheran School in Sparta before attending Luther High School.
Sam has been active in cross country (9-12) and track (9-10). He has participated in both cantate and concert choirs (9 -12), Sound Foundation (12), marching, pep and concert bands (9-12) and is a member of National Honor Society. In addition to his school activities, Sam attended Badger Boys State this past summer.
Sam is active in his church as an organist. In his free time he enjoys spending time with friends and family. He also has interests in biking and cars.
Sam plans to attend college after Luther with an interest in city planning and organ performance.
