Prep swimming: Reynolds, O/H/A shine at state

The Onalaska/Holmen/ Aquinas girls swimming team posted three top-20 finishes at the WIAA Division 1 state meet on Saturday.

Junior Brooke Reynolds placed 16th in the 100-yard backstroke by finishing in 1 minute, 0.91 seconds and 19th in the 100 butterfly (1:00.86).

Shawano/Bonduel’s Mackenzie Buss won the 100 backstroke in 57.44 seconds, and Hartland Arrowhead’s Emma Goral won the 100 butterfly in 55.27 seconds.

The 200 medley relay team highlighted the meet with a 14th-place finish and time of 1:52.99. Reynolds, Gabbi Fasnacht, Stephanie Bowman and Emilie Klos swam on that team.

Hartland Arrowhead won that event with a time of 1:45.48.

O/H/A placed 39th as a team with seven points. Forty-six teams scored in the meet, which was won by Arrowhead (303).
