The Bi-State Bulldogs’ offense continued its recent assault on opponents’ pitching Sunday as the Bulldogs traveled to Stoddard, Wis., and toppled Genoa/De Soto/Stoddard 13-2 in six innings.
The Bulldogs (14-4) jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the first inning and never looked back. G/D/S (6-5) responded with a run of its own in the bottom of the second, but the Bulldogs put five runs on the board in both the fifth and sixth innings to put the game away.
Jordan Podella and Josh Leibl each collected three hits and a double to pace Bi-State’s offensive attack, while Ryan Zibrowski and Cody Krueger each chipped in with two hits including a double and a home run respectively.
