When Onalaska and Holmen area students do well, we want to hear about it. The Onalaska Holmen Courier-Life publishes news about student achievements from elementary to college. Here is the latest good news about Onalaska and Holmen area students:

The following area students were named to the 2009 spring semester dean’s list at Viterbo University in La Crosse:
Viking Elementary has its share of top-notch young artists, including Viking Elementary Artists of the Year, Kirstin Olson and Jesse Erdman, pictured above, and winners of the Holmen American Legion Patriotic Art Contest (first-place winner Mckenna Brieske, second-place winner Alyssa McCathie and third-place winner Kayla Massman).

    The following area students received academic honors for the 2009 spring semester at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay: Katelin Tabbert of Onalaska (highest honors); Jessica Moe of Holmen (high honors); Michael Roderique of Onalaska (high honors).

    The following Holmen students graduated with bachelor’s degrees from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa: Emily Shriver, English, secondary education minor; Brad Compton, health

    Marianne Coonan of Onalaska was named to the 2009 spring semester dean’s list at Coe College in Pella, Iowa.

    Kyle Schimek of Onalaska was named to the 2009 spring semester dean’s list at Northern Michigan University.
