Construction begins on Allergy Associates building in Onalaska

Allergy Associates of La Crosse broke ground Tuesday on its new 10,000-square-foot patient care facility in Onalaska.

The $2 million project will include 18 physician offices and exam rooms, a reference laboratory, allergy testing areas, and business offices. The building is expected to be complete by January 2010 and will be at 2727 Midwest Drive next to the Globe University facility under construction and Franciscan Skemp’s Onalaska Clinic.

Allergy Associates of La Crosse averages more than 10,000 patient visits annually and currently draws patients from 43 states. It specializes in sublingual immunotherapy treatment commonly referred to as allergy drops.

The new facility will provide easy access to those traveling to the region for allergy care and reduce the overall commuting distance for the clinic’s employees, said Allergy Associates’ officials.

“We will be incorporating ‘green’ concepts and materials like concrete flooring, VOC-free paint and an air filtration system, all of which will help our patients feel comfortable and healthy in our new facility,” said Jeff Kessler, practice executive of Allergy Associates.
