Nao Sue Vang
HOLMEN — Nao Sue Vang, 78, of Holmen died Sunday, June 28, 2009, at Franciscan Skemp Medical Center, La Crosse.
Nao Sue was born in Laos on Sept. 25, 1930. He arrived in the United States as a refugee in May 1988. He married Yia Lee Vang, and they have six sons and three daughters.
There will be continuous visitation at the Hmong Cultural and Community Center, 1815 Ward Ave., La Crosse, from 8 a.m., Friday, July 3, until departing for Green Mound Cemetery, Holmen, at 9:30 a.m. Monday, July 6. Woodruff-Jandt Funeral Home, La Crosse, is assisting the family and the Hmong community with arrangements.

ONALASKA — LaVonne C. Brown, 74, of Onalaska died Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at Gundersen Luth-eran Medical Center, La Crosse. Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home, La Crosse, is assisting the family.
Werlyn ‘Mr. B.’ W. Butzler
LA CROSSE -- Werlyn “Mr. B.” W. Butzler, 72, of La Crosse died Sunday, June 28, 2009, at St. Joseph Rehab Center in La Crosse.
He was born in Middle Ridge on March 5, 1937, to William and Josephine (Gronemus) Butzler. He married Janet Krenz on Nov. 17, 1956, at St. James the Less Catholic Church in La Crosse.
Mr. B. worked for the city of La Crosse with the forestry department and the park department until his retirement. He then owned and operated Mr. B’s Union 76 in Onalaska.
He is survived by two daughters, Sherry (Mike) Striegel of La Crosse and Tammy (David) Freehill of Onalaska; one son, Jeff (Sue) Butzler of Onalaska; grandchildren, Kim (Anthony) Novak, Bryan (Megan) Striegel, Josh Tronick, Janette Freehill, Jordan Freehill and Eric and Mat Butzler; and six great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his sisters, Millie Lundsten of La Crosse, Rita (Harold) Fuller of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Carol (Clayton) Smith of La Crosse and Marlene (Dave) Tritch of Waterloo, Iowa.; one brother, Jim (Ruby) Butzler of Marshfield, Mo.; and his special friends, Sue and Dustin Hofer, Pat and Gene Rochester, Sonny Book and Zach Klaus.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet; his parents; and one brother, Walter Butzler.
Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, July, 2, at Blaschke & Schneider Funeral Home-Nelson Chapel, 1007 Caledonia St., La Crosse. Deacon Richard Sage will officiate, with a private burial to be held at Mormon Coulee Memorial Park Cemetery in rural La Crosse. Family and friends may call from 4 p.m. until time of services Thursday at Blaschke & Schneider Funeral Home-Nelson Chapel.
William Kent Holloway
William Kent Holloway, 58, of the town of Holland died Monday, June 29, 2009, surrounded by his family at home.
He was born Jan. 7, 1951, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Keith and Beryl (Vanderbush) Holloway. On June 2, 1979, he married Holly Gwyn Heitz in Sargent, Neb.
After serving in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War, Bill was hired at the G. Heilman Brewery in 1971 and worked there ever since, with the exception of a few years after the brewery failed. Willie and his wife, Holly, were proud supporters of Holmen athletics. Having three boys participating in sports, everyone knew they could count on Willie to volunteer in whatever capacity the athletic programs needed. Golf was a passion in Willie’s life, having just completed a golf trip to Arizona. Although his family and friends were the most important part of Willie’s life, they would be followed shortly after by this man’s best friends, his Labs. “If Willie was down to his last penny and you needed it — he would have gladly given it to you.”
He is survived by his wife, Holly, his sons, Tyler (Erica) Holloway of Gilbert, Ariz., Travis (Gina Kay) Holloway of Avondale, Ariz., and Drew Holloway of La Crosse; his sister, Mary Beth (Robert) Bilskemper of Onalaska; his brothers, Thomas (Renae) Holloway of Janesville, Wis., and Allan Holloway of Bailey, Colo.; his nieces, Jenna Bilskemper of Spring Valley, Wis., Kelly Holloway of Chicago, and Liz (Ryan) Jones-Anderson of Broken Bow, Neb.; and his nephews, Justin Bilskemper of Oregon, Wis., Chris (Kari) Jones of Broken Bow and Jeff (Melanie) Jones of Miller, Neb. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Onalaska Church of Christ, 1415 Well St., Onalaska. Military honors and interment will follow at Mormon Coulee Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will take place Wednesday evening from 4 to 7 p.m. at Dickinson Family Funeral Home, 515 McHugh Road, Holmen, and again on Thursday morning from 10 a.m. until services at Onalaska Church of Christ.

Douglas E. Bey
LA CROSSE -- Douglas E. Bey, 62, of La Crosse died Sunday, June 28, 2009, at Hillview Health Care Center in La Crosse.
He was born in La Crosse on Sept. 13, 1946, to Irvin and Ruth (Sheets) Bey. He was a 1964 graduate of Logan High School. Doug married Sandra Braun in La Crosse on Oct. 18, 1969, and she preceded him in death on June 28, 2008. He had been a draftsman for Trane Co. from 1966 to 1982.
He is survived by his son, Kirk (Cindy) Bey of Onalaska; a grandson, Nolan; his mother of La Crosse; and two brothers, Gary (Sandy) Bey of Billings, Mont., and Richard (Diane) Bey of La Crosse.
In addition to Sandra, he was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 2, at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1201 Main St., Onalaska. The Rev. Norris Baumann will officiate, and burial will be in Mormon Coulee Memorial Park Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the church Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of services.
Memorials may be given to Shriners Childrens Hospital or National MS Society.
