The first Tim A. Dienger Memorial Golf Scramble and dinner will be Saturday, June 27, at Drugan’s Castle Mound Country Club in Holmen. In addition, a dinner and silent auction will be held the same evening.
The silent auction will be from 5 to 7:30 p.m., and a buffet dinner will start at 6:30 p.m. Music Mix of La Crosse will provide entertainment until 10 p.m.
The event is part of the Tim A. Dienger Memorial organization created by Tim’s wife, Jen, to celebrate and continue Tim’s commitment to youth.
Tim died unexpectedly July 13 at age 31 because of a complete dissection of his aorta. He left behind his wife and two children. He was employed as the town of Onalaska administrator.
According to Jen, the goal of the memorial is to help Coulee Region youth through scholarships for secondary education, financial giving to the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign, support the Sand Lake Wesleyan Church Youth Mission trip and to improve public parks.
Three area youths already have received scholarships from some of the funds donated to the family at the time of Tim’s death.
Participants for the events can sign up at the golf course the day of the event. Registration forms can be accessed online at www.geocities.com/tim
adiengermemorial or by sending an e-mail to timadiengermemorial@yahoo.com.
The golf scramble starts at 1 p.m., and registration for the full day costs $60 per person for 18 holes of golf, golf cart rental and buffet dinner.
Tickets for only the dinner and silent auction are available for $12 and can be purchased by calling Jen Dienger at 797-3920, Natalie Grinsteinner at 526-3053, Jim Frederickson at 397-3884 or Dave Paudler at 792-5723.
