Western Technical College students are looking for used or surplus doors, windows, cabinets, countertops, furniture, lumber, light fixtures and more to donate to the La Crosse Area Habitat for Humanity ReStore.
A group of students in Western’s supervisory management program are collecting the materials and hope to get the word out about ReStore, a retail outlet that sells building supplies at a discount, said Julie Greeno, a student in the program.
Proceeds from the ReStore help fund construction of Habitat for Humanity housing in the community.
Students will be at Leidel’s Apple Stand in La Crescent from 2 to 6 p.m. today and 2 to 6 p.m. June 13, and at Quillin’s in the Village, 2500 State Road, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 13.
For more information on ReStore and the types of materials accepted, go online to www.habitatlacrosse.org/restore.
