Jordan Bronston, a 2005 Onalaska High School graduate, has received the prestigious University of Minnesota 2009 President’s Student Leadership and Service Award.
This award is presented to approximately one-half of 1 percent of the student body for their exceptional leadership and service to the University of Minnesota and the surrounding community. Only 46 students on the 50,000-student Twin Cities campus receive this award each year.
Bronston is a senior economics major and is the ranking student representative to the Board of Regents, director of the Legislative Certificate Program (Minnesota Student Association), a Marcy Holmes Neighborhood Association student representative, a member of the Interfraternity Council, a member of the Order of Omega (Greek Honor Society), an orientation leader and a volunteer with TAKE Defense: Women’s Defense Training.
His activities also earned him the Greek Man of the Year award this spring.
