The following log is based on reports from the Holmen and Onalaska police and fire departments.

Onalaska Police Department
Friday, May 22

11:25 p.m. — A 24-year-old Onalaska woman and a 35-year-old Onalaska man were arrested at their Hope Court home for domestic disorderly conduct and domestic battery. The man was also arrested for attempted battery, disorderly conduct and bail jumping.

Saturday, May 23

12:42 a.m. — A 23-year-old Onalaska man was arrested on Highway 157 for his second drunk driving offense.

5 a.m. — An Onalaska woman reported $60 worth of flowers stolen from the front deck of her Sand Lake Road home.

4:50 p.m. — A 33-year-old La Crosse man was arrested at a Highway 16 business on a warrant.

8:26 p.m. — After being stopped on East Main Street for suspicion of driving after revocation, a 27-year-old Onalaska man was arrested on a warrant and for possession of marijuana.

Sunday, May 24

2:28 a.m. — A 39-year-old Rochester, Minn., man was arrested on Second Avenue North for his first drunk driving offense.

12:30 p.m. — A La Crosse woman reported losing her purse — which contained her check book, insulin and a $300 cell phone — at the Sunfish Days grounds on Saturday.

Tuesday, May 26

9:05 p.m. — A Holmen man reported his Hummer was “keyed” while parked in the YMCA parking lot. The monetary damage was unknown.

4:35 p.m. — An Onalaska man reported $40 worth of flowers stolen from his Keith Place home within the previous week.

Thursday, May 28

11 a.m. — A 41-year-old Onalaska woman was arrested for domestic battery and disorderly conduct after an incident the previous day at her Thomas Court home.

Friday, May 29

5:58 p.m. — An Onalaska man reported his $100 iPod stolen from his car while it was parked overnight on Willow Street.

11:56 p.m. — A 26-year-old Holmen man was arrested on Well Street for his second drunk driving offense, his third operating after suspension offense and a probation violation.

Saturday, May 30

4:01 a.m. — A 24-year-old La Crosse man was arrested on Second Avenue South for his first drunk driving offense.

Monday, June 1

1:15 p.m. — A 25-year-old Onalaska woman was arrested on a warrant after running a stop sign on 12th Avenue South.

8:37 p.m. — A 75-year-old Holmen man was arrested for strangulation and battery after an incident at a Redwood Street home earlier that afternoon.

10:24 p.m. — After officers responded to a fight on 10th Avenue North, a 22-year-old Onalaska man was arrested for disorderly conduct, a 16-year-old La Crosse boy was arrested for battery and disorderly conduct and a 46-year-old La Crosse man was arrested for disorderly conduct and a probation violation.

6:30 p.m. — A Holmen man reported several plants, valued at $115, stolen from his home on Craig Court within the previous two weeks.

Tuesday, May 26


7:24 p.m. — Two Nebraska residents were stopped on Meadow Lark Lane after neighbors complained about them going door-to-door to sell reading materials. They were informed they needed a permit.

11:02 p.m. — A 40-year-old Holmen woman was arrested on Main Street for her first drunk driving offense.

Wednesday, May 27

No time given — A 45-year-old Onalaska woman was arrested at her Pine Street home for issuing worthless checks after writing the Holmen American Legion six checks, totaling $600, from a closed account.

3:40 p.m. — A 49-year-old Holmen man was cited at Festival Foods for retail theft after shoplifting $36 worth of merchandise.

5:16 p.m. — A 56-year-old Holmen was arrested at his South Meadowlark home for a probation violation.

Thursday, May 28

10:08 p.m. — A 43-year-old Holmen man was arrested at his Buckingham Lane home for disorderly conduct after shining a bright halogen light in his neighbor’s windows and swearing at officers who arrived to investigate.

Saturday, May 30

4:09 a.m. — A 30-year-old Holmen man was cited at his Case Court home for a noise violation after neighbors complained about a loud stereo.

11:26 a.m. — A 30-year-old Holmen woman and a 27-year-old Holmen man were arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property after an incident at their Cedar Avenue South home.

Sunday, May 31

9:37 a.m. — A 24-year-old Onalaska woman and a 22-year-old Onalaska man were arrested for domestic disorderly conduct after an incident at their State Road apartment.

5:03 p.m. — A Holmen woman reported someone stealing two solar lights, valued at $15 each, from her front yard on Eastwood Street.

1:06 a.m. — First responder call on Moos Road for a person who was ill.

1:28 a.m. — Fire call on Main Street and Highway 53 for a gas leak.

8:04 a.m. — Fire and first responder call on Crossing Meadow Drive for a motor vehicle accident with injuries.

Wednesday, May 27

10:28 a.m. — First responder call on Highway 16 for a person having a seizure.

6:58 p.m. — First responder call on Mason Street for a Lifeline call.

Thursday, May 28

7:09 p.m. — First responder call on Gordon Lane for a person with low blood pressure.

8:26 p.m. — First responder call on Seventh Avenue North for a person having back pain.

Friday, May 29

3:37 a.m. — First responder call on Aspen Valley Drive for a person with back pain.

7 a.m. — First responder call on Sobkowiak Road for an unresponsive person.

9 a.m. — First responder call Critter Court for a person with chest pain.

9:56 a.m. — Fire and first responder call on I-90 for a motorcycle accident with injuries.

10:17 a.m. — First responder call on 11th Avenue North for a person having a reaction to medications.

2:29 p.m. — Fire call on Main Street for a malicious false alarm.

3:40 p.m. — First responder call on Horman Boulevard for a person injured in a fall.

5:58 a.m. — First responder call on Harmony Point Place for a person having a diabetic reaction.

11:24 a.m. — First responder call on Schafer Drive for an unknown problem.

11:46 a.m. — First responder call on Eagle Bluff Court for a person injured in a fall.

12:19 p.m. — First responder call on Rudy Street for a person having an allergic reaction.

9:35 p.m. — First responder call on Smith Valley Road for a person who passed out.

10:32 p.m. — First responder call on 10th Avenue North for two persons injured in a fight.

7:33 a.m. — First responder call on the 1700 block of Viking Avenue for a person who was ill.

2:44 p.m. — First responder call on the 200 block of Gaarder Street East for a person with a head injury.

3:47 p.m. — First responder call on the 600 block of Malin Court for a person who was ill.

5:42 p.m. — First responder call on the 600 block of Malin Court for a person who had a stroke.
