Fullmer said he worked with the clinic’s interior designer to create 15 acrylic paintings that celebrate nature and the area’s landscape and environment.
“They are simple landscapes like the prairie and bridges, not specific to the area, but to evoke images familiar to the area and it fits well with the interior,” Fullmer said.
He said he tried new texturing techniques including a floating landscape with crackled texture.
Fullmer said the paintings are part of an investment into the whole design of the new clinic building.
“Healing is also how we interact with the medical profession and how we feel when we come into the clinic,” Fullmer said. “The paintings set the tone for healing, and I’m always excited with hospitals that feel the same way.”
Fullmer was commissioned earlier to create four paintings for the emergency department/urgent care center at Franciscan Skemp in La Crosse.
Moving equipment into the new clinic will begin in a week or two.
