The following log is based on reports from the Holmen and Onalaska police and fire departments.

Onalaska Police Department
Sunday, May 10

8:24 p.m. — An Onalaska man reported someone stole a $100 “gazing ball” from his front yard on Cliffview Avenue.

Monday, May 11

1:10 p.m. — An Onalaska girl reported someone stole a digital camera and a $300 MP3 player from her purse at Onalaska High School.

Tuesday, May 12

8 a.m. — An Onalaska man reported someone stole his $70 “gazing orb” from his front yard on Cliffview Avenue during the previous two days.

Wednesday, May 13

1:34 a.m. — A 20-year-old La Crosse man was cited in the Buffalo Wild Wings parking lot for lighting firecrackers.

11:59 p.m. — A 22-year-old Onalaska man was arrested on Fourth Avenue North for a warrant and cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Another 22-year-old Onalaska man was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Friday, May 15

8:39 a.m. — An Onalaska couple reported their Heritage Lane home was broken into and several items stolen while they were out of state for the previous five months. The total loss was unknown but the missing items included gold earrings, a large number of coins, a 25th anniversary ring, an old watch, a gold watch chain and an undetermined number of silver dollars from the early 1900s.

10:39 a.m. — An Onalaska woman reported someone stole a $150 concrete birdbath from her front yard on East Avenue North.

4:06 p.m. — A 21-year-old La Crosse man was arrested on Highway PH for driving with a revoked license after officers stopped his moped because he was carrying two passengers.

Saturday, May 16

3:10 a.m. — A 23-year-old Onalaska man was arrested for drunk driving and having an open intoxicant after officers stopped his ATV on Elm Street.

4:13 a.m. — A 24-year-old La Crosse woman was arrested for domestic battery, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after an incident on Third Avenue.

9:17 a.m. — A 29-year-old Onalaska man was arrested at his Darwin Court home for a warrant.

7:12 p.m. — Two Onalaska residents, both age 31, were cited for disorderly conduct and obstruction after swearing at their neighbors and a police officer on Shelly Lane.

Sunday, May 17

8:50 a.m. — An Onalaska woman reported someone threw a rock through her car window and stole several items from her vehicle while it was parked overnight on Juline Way. The damage to the window was approximately $300, and she estimated the missing items — an MP3 player, digital camera, purse, wallet, two credit cards and two IDs — were worth $800.

9:33 a.m. — An Onalaska man reported someone threw a rock through his car window and stole a $230 MP3 player while the vehicle was parked overnight on Thomas Court.

12:48 p.m. — An Onalaska resident reported someone stole flowers and a plant stand from her deck on Larkspur Lane within the previous week.

1:52 p.m. — A Holmen man reported a $250 MP3 player and a $400 GPS stolen from his vehicle while it was parked on Thomas Court during the previous three days.

4:19 p.m. — An Onalaska resident reported someone stole two hanging baskets of flowers from her front porch on Coachlite Court. She estimated the total loss at $60.

4:23 p.m. — A 12-year-old Onalaska boy was referred to juvenile services for theft after taking his mother’s check card and making several electronics purchases, with a total loss of around $3,000.

Holmen Police Department

Sunday, May 10

11:19 p.m. — A State Street resident complained about a neighbor’s air conditioner being so loud he couldn’t sleep.

Monday, May 11

2:12 p.m. — A Holmen woman reported several large decorative rocks, valued at $50 each, stolen from her yard on Deerfield Street within the previous 24 hours.

2:50 p.m. — A Neitzel Drive resident reported someone stole a $500 dirt bike from an unlocked shed on his property within the previous two days.

4:38 p.m. — A Cherry Lane resident reported someone stole two flower baskets from her front yard during the previous night and estimated the loss at $40.

4:38 p.m. — A Silver Drive residents reported 10 solar lights, valued at $10 each, stolen from her yard during the previous night.

Tuesday, May 12

2:33 p.m. — A Judith Court resident reported someone stole a $1,700 lawn tractor from his garage during the previous month. It was later located in a friend’s shed.

2:34 p.m. — A Holmen Drive residents reported someone lighting firecrackers.

Wednesday, May 13

2:05 p.m. — A Sunset Drive resident reported someone stole two chairs, a cast iron table and a geranium plant from her yard during the previous two nights. The estimated loss was $154.

10:25 p.m. — Three boys — a 16-year-old from Holmen, and a 15- and 16-year-old from Onalaska — were cited on Gardner Road for criminal damage to property after several residents reported their windows being broken by thrown rocks. The driver of the vehicle — a 16-year-old from Onalaska — was also cited for driving without a license.

Tuesday, May 12

12:17 p.m. — First Responder call on Well Street for a person with a breathing problem.

Wednesday, May 13

8:47 a.m. — First responder call on Third Avenue South for a person with kidney pain.

7:31 p.m. — First responder call on Highway 16 for a person with a diabetic problem.

Thursday, May 14

1:12 p.m. — First responder call on L.B. White Road that turned out to be a false alarm.

3:30 p.m. — First responder call on Eighth Avenue North for a person injured in a fall.

Friday, May 15

10:32 p.m. — First Responder call on Whispering Winds Drive for a person with chest pain.

Saturday, May 16

4:11 a.m. — First responder call on Elm Street for a person with asthma.

2:09 p.m. — First responder call on Gordon Lane for a carbon monoxide incident.

11:41 p.m. — First responder call on Fifth Avenue North for a carbon monoxide incident.

Sunday, May 17

7:20 p.m. — First responder call on Mason Street for a person with chest pain.

Monday, May 18

1:59 a.m. — First responder call on Second Avenue North for a person with rib pain.

1:48 a.m. — First responder call on the 100 block of Manchester Lane for a person having a diabetic reaction.

Monday, May 11

5:04 p.m. — First responder call on the N6900 block of Bice Avenue for a person with chest pains.

Tuesday, May 12

9:29 p.m. — First responder call on the W 7800 block of Homestead Court for a person having chest pains.

Thursday, May 14

8:14 p.m. — First responder call on the N7000 block of Elizabeth Drive for a person having a seizure.

Friday, May 15

8:10 p.m. — First responder call on the W8000 block of Highway Z for a person with an unknown medical condition.

Saturday, May 16

9:33 a.m. — First responder call on the N9000 block of Aspeslet Road for a person having a seizure.

8:06 p.m. — First responder call on the 100 block of Julie Lane to assist medical providers.
